Property Clear crystal or colorless needle crystal; relative density 1.85; soluble in water; 100ml of water can solve 25kg ammonium borofluoride at 16 °C, and 97kg at 100°C. The PH value of its aqueous solution is slightly less 7. It is insoluble in alcohol. and will decompose at 110 °C or above. When the temperature is very high, it will get sublimed.
Use Used as the finishing catalyst for resin in textile and printing industry, as the fluxing agent to provide inert gas, as the welding fluxing agent for aluminum and copper, as the catalyst for magnesium, magnesium alloy, and making sand mould resin adhesive, as the fire retardant and chemical reagent.
